Juneathon 2015 – Day 9 – Tuesday

Activity: 1 mile Swim – 108 lengths in 40 minutes.

A pool official told me the officially recognised pool length today.  Apparently it is 50 feet – but I am still going to consider 108 lengths as my mile.

Juneathon 2015 Day 8

Activity: Gym Session 1 hr. 15 mins.

Weight: 78.7 kg (must rest the beer habit)

Back from our sunny summer southern sojourn in Warwickshire, I am hoping to be able to get into a more disciplined approach to my schedule.

Women’s Soccer World Cup in Canada might find a place on the blogging.  I could only make it to half-time in the U.S. v Australia match, though, and am a bit disappointed this morning to find that Australia lost by so much.

Tough Love

Juneathon 2015 Day 6 – Saturday

Activity Walked from car to swimming pool to watch swimming lessons.

I really am testing the rules here.

My up and coming sports heros were impressive in their lessons today.  The big one got promotion to an even more expert class next week, so that they will be changing day to Sunday.

In my apprenticeship as a feminist in the last 40 odd years with my real hero, I am fairly sure that I was encouraged to avoid sexist terms like chairwoman, actress and heroine.

I am a bit confused currently, however, as my up an coming heroes do not like being called heroes, they prefer heroines, and even object to adjectives like tough because, I think, it does not sound feminine enough for them.

They are tough, though!

Early Swim

Juneathon 2015 – Day 5 – Friday

Activity 1 mile Swim  in 44 minutes – 25 m lengths

Today’s swim was at 6:30 am with the hard-working fit people swimming before work.  I do respect them.

I went with my daughter in law – she is one such person.  She is training for her first iron man – something she has always said that she  will do before her fortieth birthday.

More Highs than Lows

Juneathon 2015 – Day 3 – Wednesday

Weight 78.2 kg

Activity Cycle

Had to do a quick activity as needed to fetch the 2 eldest grand daughters from school this afternoon 3 hours from home – so Just cycled up two hills and down one.

Life is busy in Warwickshire and on top of after school gymnastics and seeing an outdoor performance of Mr Stink, we had to celebrate a successful job interview.
